Abstract (EN)
The interactive correlation between sociology of religion and cinema has been taking on a new significance recently in interdisciplinary studies. It could be observed that these two different fields intersect at construction of reality. Detachedly, sociology of religion and cinema present, arrange or reconstruct their own phenomenon of reality. Thus, phenomenon of reality corresponds to a set intersecting between interdisciplinary. Cinema has the potential of affecting to social life and being affected by social structure. Cinema converts to means to an end through the language it uses for shaping social structure. The basis upon which the director establishes his/her inner world during socialization process is in fact a mentality projection of the director to the films. Since the director himself/herself turns into a part of the society as a result of externalization, objectivization and internalization processes, she/he screens social realities which nurture the director phenomenologically by dint of discourses and several cinematic techniques such as deux ex machina. In our study's sample Hz. Muhammed: Allah'ın Elçisi (Muhammad: The Messenger of God), it's likely to express that Majidi the director transforms cinema into a theo-political discourse means in virtue of glamourizing his film through cinematic techniques. It is observed that Majidi who has given a place to many bone of contention at issue throughout İslamic history develops a Shi'ite point of view from the 21st century norms to each issue. That the concept of Ahl al-Bayt is stressed frequently in the film, incidents are narrated by Abu Talib the source of Shia, The Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is highly protected by Banu Hashim, there are implications of a rescuer/mahdi and there are many miracles all contribute to the justification of theo-political discourse in the film. Keywords: Theo-politics, cinema, reality, discourse analysis, phenomenology, Majid Majidi, Shia.
