Abstract (EN)

This work aims to map Slow Cities over slow and fast concepts. After the industrial revolution, the effect of the speed of production activities on daily life has continued by increasing until the postmodern period. Realizing that people can have a say on nature, it has led to the transformation of the direction of social change towards time-space break. Because of the interaction between the social structures, people who have dominated nature have also started this acceleration in their daily life practices. The post-industrial accelerated everyday life practices first appeared in cities. The cities, which offer an opportunity to organize, to present practices and to realize interactions interactively, have been designed to contribute to the development of speed and mega structures have been created to ensure the sustainability of speed. It has progressed in parallel with the belief that the identity presentation of the individual takes place within this urban chaos and that pleasure will have a brighter future. All speeding forms of action can be considered as mass consumption activities and fast-consuming actions in order to reach pleasure. The Slow City movement opposes all these appearances, firing a dynamite to break up the very essence of urban structuring. The Slow City movement, which started in Italy, came to the forefront with its slowfood movement and then found a wide echo in the world. Slow Cities can be considered as a process, not as a result. Keywords: Industry, Pleasure, Speed, Slow, Slow City
