Abstract (EN)
The causative pathogen was started to be investigated after the first cases of lethal pneumonia of unknown cause were seen in Wuhan city of China, then all over the world. As a result of the research, it was determined that the factor was a virus. This virus was named SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2) due to its similarity to SARS-CoV by the International Virus Taxonomy Committee (1). The World Health Organization (WHO) determined the virus as SARS-CoV -2 and the disease it caused as Covid-19 on January 7, 2020. Due to its rapid spread worldwide, it has been declared a pandemic by WHO. The most effective transmission is respiratory tract. It is more common, especially in asymptomatic people, since no precautions can be taken. Although cleanliness, social distance and isolation are beneficial in preventing transmission, it is certain that active immunization will be important in preventing the pandemic. The duration of immunity developed in patients who have recovered from the disease or in the case of vaccination and its protection against subsequent infections are not yet known. In addition to the development of immunization in people who have had the disease, the loss of patients is also significant. Vaccine applications are vital in minimizing human loss and preventing pandemics. In the study, SARS-CoV-2 antibodies of 1065 people who were diagnosed with Covid-19 were examined by immunochromatographic method. 11.5% positivity was detected. While 71% (IgM, IgM+IgG) of those who were found positive showed acute infection, 19% (IgG) showed previous infection (Table 1). In addition, the presence of antibodies in individuals with Covid-19 disease (Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction; = RT-PCR positive) Covid-19 (SARS - CoV-2) Antibody test (Colloidal), Elecsys Anti-SARS-CoV-2 test and the SARS-CoV-2 IgG II Quant test. The most SARS-CoV-2 was detected with the IgG II Quant test, and the least with the Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) Antibody test (Colloidal). (Table 2). Immune response as a result of vaccination (three sinovac vaccines in the first group / two sinovac vaccines and one biontec vaccine in the second group) in people who have not had Covid-19 disease (RT-PCR negative) using the SARS-CoV-2 IgG II Quant Test (Abbott-Ireland) evaluated. 50 people in the first group/32 people in the second group took part in the evaluation. The IgG titers measured after the first, second and third sinovac vaccine administered to the first group were compared (Figure 5). As a result of these comparisons, there was a significant increase between the titer detected after the second vaccination with the first (Figure 7.), the titer detected after the third vaccination with the second (Figure 8.), and the titers detected in all three vaccines P < 0.0001. The IgG titer measured after the first sinovac vaccine administered to the second group, the IgG titer measured after the second sinovac vaccine and the IgG titer measured after the third BioNTech vaccine (reminder dose) were compared. (Figure 6). As a result, the titer increase detected after the second vaccination and the titer increase detected after the first vaccination, the titer increase detected after the third vaccination and the titer increase detected after the second vaccination show a significant increase P < 0.0001 (Figure 6). The antibody titer increase detected after the bioNTech vaccine administered as the third reminder dose was higher than the titer increase detected in the sinovac vaccine reminder dose in the first group. Although the data obtained from this study contribute to the humoral immune response of having the disease and being vaccinated, it has also been determined that the immune response decreases with age. As a result, antibody tests can be used to determine the immunity levels in the population in seroepidemiological studies, to evaluate the immune response during vaccine development studies, to determine the antibody level in immune plasma donors, and to support the diagnosis in suspected PCR negative cases (2,3,4).
