Abstract (EN)
At the end of 19th century, increasing competition and colonialism politics firstly caused cold wars, then to the First World War. It was the Fist World War and affected all of the world directly or indirectly. With its miserable economic and military system, entering the Ottoman State to the war, worsened the economic and military conditions of the Ottoman State which were already worse. Affects of this war on the Ottoman State come to light in different ways. This war ended with freedom for some parts and with a great destruction and catastrophe for some other parts of the Ottoman State.Silvan was one of the most destructed and greatly harmed part of the State. The war ended with great conomic problems, a lot of died and injured people, a lot of epidemic diseases and more other destructions to Silvan. To the most important role of Silvan in the First World War is that staying 16th corps under the commandership of Mustafa Kemal at Silvan and getting back Muş and Bitlis from enemy?s occupation. Besides, as being at the hillside of a firm mountain and dominating the roads which passes into it, has been caused selection of Silvan as the center of corps.Key Words: Meyyafarikin, Silvan in the First World War, Diyarbekir,the First World War, Mustafa Kemal.
