Design problem in worship buildings

People's need to worship has created worship structures. From ancient times to today, worship structures have changed with the development of technology and formed today's worship structures. It is seen that modern worship buildings began to be built, especially towards the end of the 20th century, and today there are different architectural trends in synagogues, churches and mosque buildings. This thesis was written to capture the right perspective by examining different architectural trends. Within the scope of this study, the concept of worship and place of worship is explained in detail. The history of places of worship is divided into polytheistic and monotheistic religions and examined under the headings of the history of places of worship in Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In the research findings section of the thesis, which also includes the general architectural features of synagogues, churches and mosques, contemporary/modern examples of synagogues, churches and mosques from Turkey and the world are explained in the light of imprint information. Contemporary/modern type exemplary buildings from Turkey and the world were selected and these buildings were interpreted architecturally in the light of the imprint information. In the developing and changing process, it was planned to conduct a study that would provide information about modern places of worship and shedlight on the future in the light of applied examples by examining the architectural planning, facade design and material information of the worship buildings.
