Abstract (EN)

XIV. Ibn Battûta that the most important traveler of the 20th century, visited all of the regions known as the old world. It would not be wrong to say that the era of Ibn Battûta was the Turkish-Mongol era. As a matter of fact, most of the places visited by the ibn Battûta are under Turkish or Mongol rule. The travelogue, which has an important place in terms of Turkish history and Turkish language, is the XIV. century, contains important information about social, political, economic and religious life. Travelogue is also important for its contributions to anthropology and geography. When we look at the pre-Mongol invasions of the cities that Ibn Battûta visited as a result of the Khorasan and Turkistan trips, it is seen that these cities are the science and culture centers and they are appear with the enormous structures of the period in terms of architecture. Ibn Battûta, who visited these cities, gave detailed information about the grave situations of the cultural and scientific capitals of the period after the Mongol invasion. Ibn Battûta, who also mentioned the social, political, cultural and economic activities of these cities, had the opportunity to have face-to-face interviews with the rulers of this region, Abu Said Bahadir Khan, Aleaddin Tarmasirin Khan and Uzbek Khan.
