The commentaries of sharha of hadiths in İbn Abi Jamra's book called Bahjat al- Nufus in the context of sufism

In this study, information is given about the life and scientific personality of Ibn Abi Jamra (d. 699/1300), who is the author of Bahjat Al-Nufus which is accepted as one of the initial Sufi hadith sharhe. The author is a competent scholar in fiqh, kelamî and mystical matters, as seen in the sharhes which he made on the ahadith in his work. Before beginning the analysis of Bahjat Al-Nufus, it was necessary to include the sharhes of his mystical ahadith works prior to it. However, it was not possible to examine all of the Sufi hadith sharhes within the boundaries of this study. Therefore, I have focussed on specific Sufi hadith sharha works, namely Nevâdirü'l-Usûl by Hakîm et-Tirmizi, Bahru'l Fevaîd by Kelâbâzî, Hâletü Ehli'l-Hakîka Maallah by Ahmad er- Rifâî, and Şerhu'l-Erbaîne Hadîsen by Sadreddin Konevî. The materials used by the author during his sharhes activities were included in-text analysis of the contents of Bahjat Al-Nufus in this study. In addition to this, the mystical perspective of the author on ahadith is included within the framework of Sufi concepts in this study. The work of Ibn Abi Jamra, Bahjat Al-Nufus is an important example of the mystical hadith sharhe types that emerged as a result of understanding and interpreting of ahadith by Sufis.
