Abstract (EN)

Ibn Rushd discussed the miracle issue, which is a philosophical problem in Islamic thought, within his own thought systematic. Unlike many thinkers, while trying to prove the legitimacy of the prophets, he tried to present evidence that appeals to human mind and knowledge. He clarifies by giving various examples that the prophets only by associating them with supernatural events and situations can ve claimed as a prophecy by anyone who displays miracles and that this cannot ve presented as the only evidence at the point of proof of prophecy. In this study, problems such as the concept of miracle and its nature, the epistemological, metaphysical and moral possibilities of miracle, the relationship between miracle and revelation, the types of miracle, and issues such as revelation, miracle, possibilities and proof of prophethood appearing within the concept of miracle of the Qur'an are examined in accordance with the perspective and evaluations of Ibn Rushd. In addition, it will be tried to utilize comparatively the views of some philosophers within the Islamic thought tradition. Key words: Rasul, Prophethood, Revelation, Miracle, Wonder
