Abstract (EN)

The first and most important source of our religion is the Qur'an. The second important source is sunnah. Various methods have been developed over time to preserve the sunnah and transfer it to the next generations, and thus the science of hadith has emerged. Since the soundness of the hadiths is mostly evaluated according to their proofs, the science of rical and cerh-tadil came to the fore in the science of hadith. These are the isnad and the text. In particular, the science of cerh and ta'dil is of great importance for the research of narrators and hadiths. The authentic transmission of hadiths from the Prophet (pbuh) is primarily a branch of science about the year. The hadiths whose isnads are considered authentic are also taken into consideration. Isnad is a kind of insurance of hadith science. Because narrations are transmitted through narrators and gain value according to their reliability. The science of Rical, which deals with the narrators, has also been accepted as an important branch of science in this context. The aim of this thesis is to examine the information conveyed by Ibn Sa'd in terms of the method of cerh and amendment in et-Tabakât, in the context of the science of hadith. It is to be able to make some determinations about his hadithism, especially by examining the cerh and ta'dil words he used in his transmissions. Ibn Sa'd is a well-known Islamic scholar in the science of siyer. However, he is also a good hadith scholar who lived in the early history of hadith. Besides providing valuable information in the field of Siyer and Islamic history, his work is among the first hadith works that convey information about famous narrators in the field of hadith. In this thesis, the methods of cerh and ta'dil of the narrators in Ibn Sa'd's work called et-Tabakât were analyzed. In addition, the information that Ibn Sa'd conveyed about hadith scholars based on the scholars he took as a reference was also emphasized.
