Abstract (EN)
Turk-Islam philosophers who have brought up after Turks' conversion into Islam attracted attention of both the leading persons of their working field and wide crowd of people with their life and works. One of the important persons who was educated under this Islamic tradition is Ebu Ali el-Hüseyin bin Abdullah Ibn Sînâ. Ibn Sînâ is a multi-dimensional person who has taken his place in the history of science as a philosopher, doctor, mathematician, physicist, shortly a scholar; continues to be kept alive in the public imagination too; from time to time myths, anecdotes are narrated about his life. "Ebu Ali Sînâ Stories"' which we have found out in verbal and written sources is a work that draws attention both in respect of folk story, and tale, myth, anecdote and public medicine. In particular, the relation of the stories with Binbir Gündüz, Binbir Gece Masalları, tales, myths and legends is attractive. Variants that we have found find are full of stories containing also connections with Ibn Sînâ's true life, exaggerated expressions, density of mythical and legendary properties attributed to Ibn Sînâ. In the texts, Ibn Sînâ who advances in the way of becoming şeyh-i kâmil from his shaman qualities faces us as a saint giving advices, trying to prevent cultural decline and exhaustion of moral values in society with his extraordinary properties and symbolic awards and punishments, in addition such qualities as doctor, magician, shaman, and type of anecdote. All of these examples indicate that Ibn Sînâ will continue to live in the verbal tradition both depending upon his miraculous achievements in his true life and as an ideal person the people create in their imagination according to themes which they need. Key words: Turkish culture, narration-based species, sequence of events, analysis.
