موقف ابن تيمية من الشيعة الإمامية والفرق الباطنية

It's not easy to make a study about a controversial scientific figure throughout history, who has tremendous supporters and critics, such as Ibn Taymiyyah, actually it needs efforts, and talking about Ibn Taymiyyah's thoughts, from two different sects' point of views, such as the Twelver Shi'ites and the Batiniyyah requires more and more analysis. This is what we tried to achieve in this study. The research aiming at focusing on these processes. This research has a preface and two detailed chapters, where the introduction came about the life of Ibn Taymiyyah, his era, his knowledge, his scientific personality and his approaches on how to deal with his opponents. The first chapter present Ibn Taymiyyah's position on the Twelver Shiites, and the principles of their belief in the fundamentals of religion, such as the Imamate, prophethood, Karamat (supernatural wonders or charism), and their position towards the Companions of prophet Mohammed, finally to explain Ibn Taymiyyah's point of view regarding their faiths and thoughts, depending on obvious evidences. The second chapter, explaining the Batiniyyah's belief and its well-known sects such as the Qarmatians, Ismailis, Nusayris, Druze and Adawiya, clarifying all these information through determinations and referring to their approved books. Then Ibn Taymiyyah's point of views on each topic has been elaborated in details with necessary clarifications, refuting their suspicions and wrong perspectives according to Ibn Taymiyyah's thoughts. For this end, the researcher presents three approaches; Through the descriptive approach, depending on the evidences that applied by the sects or groups known as the opponents of Ibn Taymiyyah. there were debates, correspondences, writings and responses among them, in addition to his description of the political and social circumstances at that time. Responses and opponents After that, the research, through the analytical method, analyzed the incidents and the factors leading to all those criticism, and Ibn Taymiyyah argued with them in his writings and similar matters that the research analyzed in order to clarify ambiguous subjects to find out academic results. The research depends on the inductive methodology; It deals with the study of sects or groups according to what infers or implies from the information has been mentioned in the books or references of various sects. As the study focuses of scientific approaches to find out academic out puts, these are related to the investigations and analysis of this research.
