Ibnu's-Sid al-Batalyawsi on relationship between religion-philosophy

Batalyawsi addressed the relationship between religion and philosophy, a fundamental philosophical problem in Islamic thought, through his own philosophical system. Like many Muslim philosophers before him, he argued that truth is singular and unified. According to him, the apparent differences in understanding between religion and philosophy stem from variations in human nature, which ultimately originate from the Creator In this context, he emphasized the role of language and logic in explaining these differences. This study will examine concepts such as the essence of religion and philosophy, their interrelationship, their conflicts, and the reasons for these conflicts from Batalyawsi's perspective. Additionally, the study will incorporate a comparative analysis of views from other philosophers in the Islamic intellectual tradition.
