Furniture constitutes an indispensable part of human life. By means of furniture, a person can perform his or her needs and the activites according to these needs. The presence of furniture emerged parallel to human starting to live inside places and from past to present, according to economic, social, cultural and technological developments it has constantly developped and varied. In order to design furnitures, which we have the need to use in almost every aspect of our daily lives, first there must be a need for it and according to the type of that need the furniture should be functionalized. In other words from anthropometry, the situation of a furniture showing its function is satisfied with benefiting from the user's body sizes. The furniture designed according to this is indicated as ''ergonomic furniture'' and gives both physiological and psychological comfort to the user. Furniture, along with meeting the needs of a person also creates a perception. Therefore, furniture makes up the type and identity of the place and it's also seen that it adds function, comfort, aestheticts etc. to that place. Place effects the futniture's type, function, form, colour, material etc. From this point of evaluation, it can be said that both place and furniture can effect each other and they have the power to shape each other.
