The impacts of the incentive policies on Adana city

In this thesis, the concept of export subsidies, how export subsidies are implemented in a constantly changing environment and their effects on economics are emphasized for Turkey. The main objective of this study is to determine the export subsidies applied in Turkey, and examine to what extent export subsidies are benefited by the exporter companies in Adana. The effects of export subsidies on eliminating of regional disparities in Adana and the perceptions of the exporters for export subsidies are examined during the Turkey?s EU membership processThis thesis consists of three sections. In the first section, general information about concept and variety of export subsidies is presented. In the second section, the concept of export subsidies is explained and export subsidies program is covered in detail. Further, it is made an attempt to compare the export subsidies that is applied in European Union and in other countries with Turkey.In order to determine how much the export subsidies are being utilized by the exporter firms in Adana, a case study is being applied to be the companies that have export activities in 2009. A questionnaire has been applied to the companies, and the results have been evaluated and interpreted, and the recommendations based on these results are involved.Keywords: Export Subsidies, Subsidies for SME, Subsidy Policies in EU, Adana
