Abstract (EN)

Clothing, which is life-long, has changed its size with fashion. Fashion is changeable by nature. Clothes that are produced and consumed rapidly are no longer a necessity for human life. Consumption frenzy and Fast fashion are clogging the main veins of future generations. Fashion that is produced and consumed rapidly causes water pollution and excess water use, as well as the damage to working. The concept of sustainability in these transitions is also discussed in the recycling framework. The aim of the research is to prepare a women's clothing collection by re-designing unused jeans with recycling. In the first stage of the qualitative research, designers and artists working in artistic denim were researched. Within the scope of the study, the works, paintings and clothes prepared by the designers and artists were examined. The drawings of the collection, which was created for women between the ages of 18-25, in the spring / summer of 2023, were presented in the procreate program. It is thought that redesigning denim clothes that are not in use and transforming them into clothes suitable for today's fashion and transferring them through the process of preparing a collection with original designs will set an example for those working in this field.
