Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to make a sociological analysis of the messages conveyed to the target masses by using the corporate activities and communication tools of four religious groups which are still in existence today. In the first chapter, theoretical information about the types of communication, the historical development of propaganda and the propaganda techniques have been given. Then, the effects of the communication tools used in propaganda and their effects on people were tried to be put forward. In addition, changes in the public sphere have been introduced as a result of developments in the media. In the second chapter, the activities of Menzil Group, Erenköy Group, New Asia Group and Suleymanism, as a result of their institutionalization in many different fields such as publishing, media, education, health, tourism, construction, association, foundation, etc. and the messages they transmitted through these activities were analyzed together with the changing social structure.
