The effects of digitalization in communication and transition to distance education on university teaching staff Maltepe University example

This study was carried out to determine the interactive education and training strategies of Universıty academic staff and their attitudes in this process. The research environment consists of 21 instructors of Maltepe University. This study aims to understand what kind of challenges the Universıty academic staff faced with the distant education process during the pandemic period, and what methods and techniques they developed to overcome these challenges, and what kind of education content they prepared for a successful academic course. In the study, an in-depth interview approach, which is one of the qualitative research types, was designed. Maltepe University, as an expert institution in distance education, is a university that invests and supports distant and online education. In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching-learning processes in the fall term of 2020-2021 and to scientifically reveal how efficient online education practices are. According to the results to be obtained from this study, it is hoped that it will contribute to the core of the curriculum and provide more effective examples to the lessons. The results to be obtained from this study will contribute to the improvements of the online Academic course contents and provide more effective options to the face-to-face sessions.
