Abstract (EN)

Objective: The objective of this study is that evaluating the validity and reliability of the Relation and Sexuality Scale in Kidney Transplant Recipients in Turkey Method: This methodological study was included 150 kidney transplant recipients who applied at Akdeniz University Dr. Tuncer KARPUZOĞLU Organ Transplant Policlinic in between November 2016 and February 2017. "Patient Identification Form", "Relationship and Sexuality Scale" and "Arizona Sexuality Scale" were used as data collection tools. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22 package programe percentage, mean, standard deviation, Content Validity Index, factor analysis, correlation analysis, cronbach alpha coefficient. Number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Content Validity Index, factor analysis, correlation analysis, cronbach alpha coefficient were calculated and analyzed. Results: The language's vadity of the scale is edited both of forward translate and back translate. 10 experts were consulted for the validity of the content, and it was determined that expert opinions were compatible. As a result of the validity analysis, it was determined that the scale consists of 3 sub-dimensions. Original scale unchanged. The general Cronbach alpha coefficient of the scale is 0.84, Cronbach alpha coefficients of subscales is 0.60-0.86. Factor load values of all items were found between 0.51 and 0.87. Relationship and Sexuality Scale's item total score correlations were 0.45-0.77, all of them were found statistically significant and medium-level in the positive direction. Correlations between subscales of the scale were found statistically significant (p <0.01). Conclusion: Relationship and Sexuality Scale was found valid and reliable in Kidney Transplant Recipients in Turkey.
