Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the philosophers' search for cosmic principles is included in the philosophy of the Early Age. The main purpose is to emphasize the importance of the concept of 'knowing ında in search of principles. The antiquity period is the cornerstone of the next philosophical movements under the leadership of almost all thought activities. The philosophers' quest for the first cause and their intellectual activities in the search for cosmic principles were supported by the concept of memory. The philosophers' understanding of the philosophers starting from the Miletian nature and linking the concept of knowing with the principles of philosophers and philosophers are presented. What is the essence of matter as a result of the efforts of Miletus thinkers in the search for truth by Thales, Anaximandros and Anaximenes? It was shown that the first steps of human universe relationship were born in this period. In addition, we explained from the Ionian School that Pythagoras added a different meaning to the quest for principles by adding morality. We explained that Heraclitus can be wise with the logo in the philosophy of knowledge, and that self-knowledge and restraint is the highest value. Subsequently, we examined how the philosophers of the Elea School, Xenophanes, Parmenides and Zenon, put a sense of social meaning in their quest for the principle and brought a different perspective unlike previous philosophers. In the second chapter, we examined that the sophists are more relativist than seeking the principles and they put more meaning to the concept of knowing than the philosophers of nature. At the same time, the sophists measured their wisdom with money and explained that they followed a different path in the face of tradition. It is that the Sophists are searching for something other than the first cause. However, they will be subject to criticism by philosophers who will follow them. Afterwards, Socrates, an important thinker of the Antiquity period, focused on the ultimate principle of human being, the concept of virtuous life and knowing
