The effects of first period political events on the formation of religious belief

The basis and source of Islamic belief is revelation. The tenets of faith are the principle tenets in religion. In this respect, the subject of faith is based on precise and correct knowledge. In the kalâm literature, the principles of faith are summarized as deity(uloohiyyah), prophethood(nubuwwah) and afterlife(ma'ad). Apart from these principles, there are many principles that are the subjects of faith. In Islamic thought. Just like in other religions and belief systems, religious thought and belief were affected in different ways. In the Islamic community, The political and social events that developed after Muhammad (pbuh) had an impact on the formation of religious thought and belief. These political and social events experienced during the formation and development of the Islamic thought system led to the emergence of different systems of thought and sects. Different interpretations based on political and social events and religious references have been brought. The sects interpreted the verses of the Qur'an by taking them out of context, hadiths were fabricated in the context of their own thoughts, and historical events in the past were interpreted for their own unrealistic purposes. This situation negatively affected the development of a religious thought and belief system on a healthy and correct ground. It is important to understand the Islamic thought and belief system correctly, to investigate the political and social events that developed in the first period for a healthy and correct future, and to reveal the reasons in this context.
