In this study, it has been aimed to examine the impact of the core training applied to the primary school 2nd grade handball players on the ir performances depending on some variables. The population of the study consists of 24 maleand 24 female handball player studying at Mehmet Celebi Middle School, Sehit Recep Ince Imam Hatip Middle School and Ataturk Middle School in Amasya. The study group consists of control group (12) and experiment group (12) in male sand control group (12) andexperimentgroup (12) in females. In males and females, experiment groups have been applied core training 3 days a week for 12 weeks in additionto the handball training program. Height, weight, off-handlong jump, vertical run-up, 30-meter sprint, medicine ball throwing, flexibility, shuttle runand body running measurements have been conducted on allplayers at thepre-test and post-test stages. In addition descriptive ve statistics, research data were evaluated with ANOVA test in matched groups and at a significance level of ( p<0,05). According to the statistical analysis results, a significant difference has beenfound in theexperiment group in off-hand long jump, verticalrun-up, 30-meter sprint, flexibility, shuttlerunand body running variables (p<0,05). No signifi cant difference has been found in the variable of medicine ball throwing (p>0,05). In the control group, a significant difference has been found in off-hand long jump, vertical run-up, 30-meter sprint, flexibility, shuttlerunand body running variables (p<0,05). As in the experiment group, no significant difference has been found in the control group in the variable of medicine ball throwing (p>0,05). The numerical data are more positive fort he good of the players conducting core group work in the variables (off-handlongjump, verticalrun-up, 30-meter sprint, flexibility, shuttlerunand bodyrunning)showing statisti cally significantt difference between the experiment group and control group. As a result, it was concluded that the core training applied to handball athletes in the second grade of primary school had an effect on the children's strebgth, speed, quicknees, agility and flexibility performances, but gender did not affect these parameters.
