Abstract (EN)

In primary schools, by evolving program, assessment methods are also having great changes. Traditional methods that have been used for years abondoned and alternatives methods started to be used. In this study, primay school 4th and 7th grade students? attitudes towards the self assessment applications, one of the alternative assessment approaches, were analysed.In this research, firstly literature scan was done and attitude scale was prepared beforehand to apply to the pupils in mentioned classes.The research was applied on 1500 students at public schools in Bağcılar and Bakırköy county of Istanbul province in 2009-2010 academic year.To use at the research, a trial scale including 38 topic was prepared and applied on 200 pupils that would take part in participant group. After that reliability and validity studies were done and scale was given the last condition.Meaningful difference in students attitudes towards sel assessment has been found according to gender, the enviroment of the school, the gender of the teacher, the level of the class, the frequency of makinf self assessment, the experience of the teacher and the number of the students in the result of the research.
