The effects of learning package which was prepared for the science and technology lesson according to the constructivist approach, on the 5th grade students? achievement their attitudes towards the lesson, their success and the learning package

This study was conducted in order to determine the effects of learning package which was prepared for the Science and Technology lesson according to the constructivist approach, on the 5th grade students? achievement their attitudes towards the lesson, their success and the learning package. The study was conducted over 184 5th grade students in Buca Saadet Emir Primary School in spring term of 2005 ? 2006 Educational Year. Different types of scales were used to gather the data. To determine the students? attitudes towards the Science and Technology lesson, a 23 items of attitude test whose reliability coefficient was 0,91, validity was 0,93 to derive the students? attitudes towards the Learning Package a 21 items of attitude test with reliability coefficient was 0,90, validity was 0,95, was used. The validity of the achievement test, which was used to measure the success of students of Science and Technology lesson, was estimated as 0,93. At the end of the research; it was determined that the Learning Package which was prepared according to the constructivist approach had more positive effects on than the constructivist approach itself and it was more effective on increasing the positive attitude towards the Learning Package and it caused a positive tendency on the attitudes towards the Science and Technology lesson.
