This endevour intailed computer assisted and conventional education, 5th grade students were given a unit on `Recognize Our Region? which outlined the achievments in the meaning of Tuourism subjects and social science was examined.An examinational experiment was conducted during the eduational year of 2007 and 2008, this examination was concluded at Ankara, Keçiören, Kocatepe primary school amungst classes 5/B and 5/C with a total of 58 students. A control group monipulated Tourism subjects in conventional education, whilst the exprimental group manipulated computer assisted educational methods.This examination was canducted as an initail test and final test with an experimental patern. The result of this exammination in `Recognizing Our Region? was an assembly of a success test, initial and final test.The analysis of the result was cunducted with the assistance of SPSS 13.0 packet programe related samples T. test and unrelated T. tests were used during the analys of the results. The statistical evaluations are as follows.According to the findings, it can be said that computer assisted education is more effective than conventional education on achievement of educational method
