Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the concept map supported education on the achievement of the students in mathematics. The sample of this study consists of 71 students, who are in sixth grade at Hakan Akbıyık Primary School of Keçiören district. One of the sixth grade classes was used as the experimental group and the other one was used as the control group. The equality of the groups was determined by the results of some success pre-tests.The research was carried out six weeks. The control group studied with conventional methods and the experimental group studied with the method supported by concept map.Achievment Test has been used in this study for data gathering and T-test has been used to evaluate the hypothesis. It has been by the statistical analysis observed, that there is a significant difference between the control and experimental group according to results of the achievement post test. The experimental group was more successful than the control group. As a conclusion, teaching the subject ?fractions? through the instrument of concept map supported education creates a significant difference on the success of the students.
