Abstract (EN)
Purpose is determining the incentives and obstacles influencing primary school 8th grade students? development of innovative ideas. The research is conducted by using a questionnaire on a sample population of 350 8th grade students in 2010-2011 academic year in Kırklareli province Lüleburgaz district. Data collected have been analyzed by several statistical techniques, displayed in tables and comments are given.The research tried to find out whether there are differences in levels of incentives and obstacles in terms of gender, parents? education level, family income, R&D center and techno-design workshop at school, certification and self-definition etc. The results indicate that most of the participants are male, mostly mothers are primary school graduates, whereas fathers have o high school diploma, didn?t get a certificate of achievement last year, self-confidant and responsible individuals. The answers do not support any gender differentiation effect on development process of innovation; however, having an achievement certificate does have an effect.In the light of the findings some suggestions are made to increase incentives and eliminate obstacles.Keywords: Innovation, Technology, Design Course.
