Profiling of using internet the first degree teachers in primary schools

The period that shows direction to the all the changes and developments in science and also that improves itself benefitting from these changes and developments is education. As well as in all the fields the most important technological object in the education field is internet. Day by day more people are introducing the internet and being active internet user. The way to catch the time existing and to be aware of newcoming things is internet which is the fastest and easiest thing to communicate and to collect data. Communities which want to state theirselves existing and to be strong in the global world, will accept the need for internet and by providing the internet usage especially in the education field as it should be, will be some steps forward from the others. By the time technology is developing, there are so many changes about the teaching ways. Several teaching ways which we can call traditional, is partly replacing with Computer Supported Education and Distance Education. By the Computer Supported Education, the presentations are much more effective and the students are learning the things much more permanent visually. In the Distance Educationagain the visualty is in the front row and also the most important feature of the Distance Education is that it can provide learning in different times and different places. To use the technologies actively in educationy first of all the teachers should be provided using the technological objects actively. It is very important that the teachers using especially internet which is the newest thing that technology brought. To make us of the possibilites of technology , teachers should be educated about using the technology by on-the-job training. The aim fort his research is to define the internet usage profile of the teachers of the primary education school, which is meaning that to find out how much they know about internet, for what they are using the internet, how they are encouraging their students for using the internet. Besides to define if the primary schools have the necessary infrastructure for internet using and if this isput into service fort he teachers using. In this research which is prepared for defining ? The Internet Usage Profile Of The Teachers Of The Primary Schools ?, one survey is applied to form the datas of the research. The univers of the research is the in the teachers of the primary schools Zeytinburnu in stanbul and the sample is 6 the formal primary schools. In all the schools that this execution is applied, totally 108 teachers are requested to participate to the survey. The results thet are obtained from the statistical findings state that, men are in the higher level from the women, as well as the young ones from the old ones, singles from the married ones, the ones wiht high-level computer skills from the ones with low skills. Using these results defined, the offerings are applied.
