The properity of genre texts in second grade turkish lesson books of primary school to the criteria of children literature

Book?s an indispensable part of education system cause it?s a guidance for teacher and a primary source for student. Books whose importance?s stubborn fact for all lessons, have critical importance for Turkish lessons. Because teaching a lesson?s completely dependent on texts and activities of these books.With schedule changing in 2005, the books used at classes?re divided into three categories: The student book, the workbook and the teacher?s book. All studies?re done by using the texts of books, so that they increase the significance of the literary texts of books. These texts?re very important in terms of not only activities but also mental and linguistic progress of the student. Because the accurate and effective language using abilities of the students?re affected by them.The properties of texts in primary Turkish books?re indicated at Turkish Lesson Curriculum, furthermore the task of text choice for them that have great importance, are completely assigned to authors of books. Also, the criterions of children?s literature that appeals to children aren?t taken account of while preparing process.At this research, all Turkish books of sixth, seventh and eighth grades used by Minister of National Education throught Turkey in 2011-2012?s semesters are handled and all texts of these books?re analysed in terms of literalism in children?s litetature?s criterions.This research shows there?re incorrect preferences on the choices of texts and same texts?re chosen inattentively.This work shows texts that will be used in the books should be chosen scrutinisingly and be approved after a suitably chosen research.Key words: Children's literature, Turkish lesson book, text
