Usa of worksheets in primary maths teaching and effect of pupils achievement and pupils and teachers view of the lesson

Various research and studies are done in education system and education and instruction in mathematics, which is an unavoidable part of education system. The results of the research bring together the change, the progress, the efforts of improvement and new approach in education. Reaching the aim of the education system can be possible when the pupils that are situated in the middle of the system are acquired the object and behaviors in all kind of fields. Worksheets, prepared in order to reach the knowledge and in order to make certain that the true knowledge has been reached and the foundation of which is based on the object behaviors that are signs of learning, are materials which are used to supply the active participation of pupils and the permanent learning. This research was formed in order to be evaluated the usage of the worksheets in teaching of the statistics and graphics units in primary class 7 according to the achievement of pupils and their views of the lesson. With the random sampling method questionnaire was applied to the pupils in various schools in Konak, İzmir. Worksheets of teachers and pupils and their opinions about mathematics teaching were taken in the direction of the aim. After that, the experimental model was chosen and in a primary school in the same area an application was done. The teaching of statistics and graphics units and worksheets s prepared with the help of the experts are realized in two classes thought in the same level without being used the worksheets. An achievement test was applied in order to find out how the application had changed the achievement; the questionnaire, achievement test and pupils' opinions were evaluated. The data was tried to be meaningful by being taking the opinions of teachers that are components completing the pupils of the education. According to the data suggestions, which would help with reaching the aim of primary mathematics teaching about using of worksheets and teaching of statistics and graphics units, were presented.
