The level of primary education inspectors? performing their roles of instructional leadership

The purpose of this research is to find out at what extent the primary education inspectors perform their roles of instructional leadership. The data of the research are collected by applying questionnaire to 18 primary education inspectors, to primary school headmasters who work in 42 different primary schools and to 383 primary school teachers who teach in these schools. To analyse the data; standard deviation, arithmetic mean, t test and analysis of variance techniques were used.The results of the research can be summarized as this: When primary education inspectors? opinions about the level of performing the bahaviours of their roles of instructional leadership, although they ?always? see themselves as the leaders of instruction, the headmasters and the teachers of primary schools ?sometimes? see the primary education inspectors as the leaders of instruction. Besides that, primary education inspectors? headmasters? and teachers? of primary schools sex, age, occupational seniority, the seniority of inspectorship and administering and educational background variables doesn?t make a meaningful difference about the opinions of primary education inspectors? performing their roles of instructional leadership.Key Words : Instructional Leadership ( Leadership of Instruction), Primary Education Inspector, Primary School Headmaster, Primary School Teacher
