It is obvious that there is a necessity for expert and perfectadministration models and administrators who pursue these models to manage theorganizations effectively with today?s rapid changing technology. The life quality ofpeople and the preservation of environment make these managements be run by themost perfect methods and make professional administrators appropriate be raised.In this study, the aim is to evalaute teacher ideas concerning the visioner rolesof primary education school administrators. The subject of the study includes primaryeducation teachers working in Elazığ during 2005-2006 teaching year. Sample of thestudy consists of totally 30 primary school selected by random method among allprimary schools in Elazığ and 600 teachers selected again by random method from theseschools.In the study, as a means of collecting data, a queationnairre consisting of total 44questions three of which are developed by the researcher and for personal informations,40 of which are for the teachers? and school headmasters?s ideas about visionerleadership behaviours and one of which is to determine the ideas and suggesitonsrelated to the subject was used.For the analysis of data, SPSS for Windows packet program was utilized andstatistical processes like frequency analysis, t test, and variance analysis were used.In the study which suggested that teacher ideas are often positive concerning thevisioner leadership behaviours of school headmasters, school headmaters weresuccessful about the subjects like vision establishment, application of the vision, makinginnovative decisions, and being a guide to the followers. The most remarkablemeaningful diversity among the teachers? ideas is realtive to the professionalprecedence variance. The teachers who are more experienced in terms of professionalprecedence find the school headmasters more successful than the teachers who are lessexperienced than themselves about the visioner leadership behaviours.Key words: vision, leadership behaviours, visioner leadership
