Abstract (EN)

The Investigation of Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Personality Types of Primary School Teachers The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between job satisfaction and personality types of primary school teacher and, to find out the differences of job satisfaction of teachers in terms of various variables. The subject of the study consisted of 609 primary school teachers working in the area of Izmir mainly Bergama district. Sample consisted of 210 teachers (103 male, 107 female). Data were collected by `Job Satisfaction Instrument?, `Five Factor Personality Inventory? and `Personal Information Form?. This research was carried out by school-survey method. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, one-way Anova, Sheffe, average, t-test and Pearson correlation tests. Results: In this study, it was found out that there are statistically significant relationships between the teachers? personality types and their job satisfaction levels. According to age, gender, marital status, working area, the level of education, salary, graduated field, and school status there are no a significant differences on job satisfaction levels. According to working experience, career choice decision, career thoughts, career plan, appreciated at work, health, social activities, and following professional developments there are significant differences on job satisfaction instrument levels.
