The basic problems seen in the program of teaching visual art lesson in the second grade in primary scools

The This research is carried out in order to determine the problems that visual arts teachers in primary schools encounter while running the curriculumn, and to develop the solutions according to them.One of the fields which are made use of while composing the order of the nations? education is the education of art. It is important for both the development of the culture and the balance of one?s spirit. Altough teaching of art is important for a child to recognize himself in the progress of development and then to find himself, This class isn?t given importance. Thus, the importance of the art education, which will be followed in the primary education, is rising.It is possible to see the pros and cons while looking at the Turkish National Education system?s way of look to the art and art education at the point of view of the hierarchical order of the aims. The general education is debated in its negative and positive sides, aside, the education of arts ,which is not given importance, and ,whose importance is not noticed, with the special qualities of itself, is not set on a basis.Lacking the knowledge about the following the curriculumn, when united with the schools lack of socio-cultural environment, and, enough tools and rigging, teachers of visual arts encounter with some difficulties. There is 63 opinions in the survey about these problems. The grade of the teachers? agreement is questioned. The tool which is used for the collecting of the information is a kind of Likert scale. For the statistical analysis SPSS(The Statistical Packet for the Social Sciences) is used. In accordance with the information which is get, the discoveries and the comments parts are formed.It is an undebatable fact that, in the progressing and changing conditions of the world, art education is important. The rapid changes and progresses in the field of international relations make it compulsory to formation of the new and modern education policies. In the education poliies of the governments, it should be the first to determine the problems which the most important subjects of the education, teachers, encounter with, to abolish them, to raise the conditions of the education to the modern standarts.According to the discoveries which are get from the data of the survey, many problems, which will hinder the teachers,who are working in the primary schools, of bringing the aimed goals and the behaviours in, are aroused.
