Creative thinking is a phenomenon that provides important gains to individuals in almost every aspect of life. Creative thinking in the field of education is also extremely valuable for individual and social development. Within the scope of the study, it is aimed to focus on the Scamper technique, one of the creative thinking techniques, and to examine the effect of this technique on perception, attitude and responsibility towards science class. The mixed research method nested mixed design was used in the research. In the quantitative dimension of the research, a pre-test post-test control group quasi-experimental design was used, and in the qualitative dimension, a case study design was used. The study group of the research consists of a total of 60 students studying in the 3rd grade of Denizova Primary School and Yerkesik Primary School in the Menteşe district of Muğla province in the 2022-2023 academic year. As data collection tools; perception scale for classroom activities, Science course attitude scale, Science course focused student responsibility scale and interview form were used. SPSS 22 was used in the analysis of quantitative data, and MAXQDA 20 was used in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the research, it was found that the Scamper technique provided significant gains in the perception, attitude and responsibility levels towards science lessons, and these gains were supported statistically, revealing significant differences in favor of the experimental group. Accordingly, it can be suggested that the use of the Scamper technique in different levels and units in the Science course may be useful.
