Abstract (EN)

This is an action research study in which argumentation activities structured with creative drama are prepared and applied in order to develop the argumentation skills of the elementary school 4th-grade students and acquired results and the ideas of the students who participated the study are presented. Activities which were prepared for the "food" unit based on the 2018 science teaching curriculum were applied in an elementary school in Rize. A total of 27 elementary school 4th-grade students joined the study. Argumentation activities which were structured with creative drama were practised with the students for 6 weeks (18-course hours). In this study "Turkish Argumentation Model Rating Scale" researcher notes and student diaries were used as data collection tools. At the end of the study, it was understood that argumentation activities which were structured with creative drama developed the argument qualities of the students and these activities were liked by the students. It is concluded that creative drama method is an effective method that can be used in developing the elementary students' argumentation skills.
