Özet (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the perceptions of responsibility of the class teachers about student success and failure and their relationship with locus of control variables. Besides, it has been tried to determine if the teachers' perception of responsibility differs from the locus of control and student success and failure according to the determined variables. The population of the research, which is shaped by the relational survey model, is the classroom teachers working in the city center of Diyarbakır. In order to represent the population, 508 classroom teachers were selected with an easily accessible sampling method. Teacher locus of control scale and teachers' perception of responsibility for student success scale were used for the purpose of collecting the necessary data for the research. Descriptive statistics, Independent t Test, One Way Variance Analysis, Mann Whitney U Test, Kruskal Wallis H Test and Pearson Moments Product Correlation Coefficient were used in the analysis process of the obtained data. As a result of the research, it was concluded that classroom teachers have high perception of responsibility for student success, but low perception of student failure. In addition, it was observed that Classroom teachers' locus of control had a significant difference in terms of gender and age variables, but they did not differ significantly in terms of region, seniority, employment type, number of students, and educational status. The dimension of taking responsibility for success shows a significant difference in terms of number of students and age variables; In terms of taking responsibility for failure, it is seen that there is a significant difference in terms of employment type, school location and age variables. Finally, it is observed that there is a moderate positive relationship between the opinions of the class teachers about the locus of control and their responsibilities towards success.
