Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the educational activities in primary schools within the framework of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to identify the challenges encountered in implementing these initiatives. The research was carried out during the 2024–2025 academic year with 13 classroom teachers and 8 school administrators in public and private primary schools located in the central districts of Antalya, Türkiye. The study employed a holistic single case study design, a model within qualitative research methodology. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, and analyzed using both content analysis and descriptive analysis techniques. Findings revealed that although the majority of participants reported the implementation of various theoretical and practical activities related to the SDGs in their schools, some participants did not mention any activities addressing specific themes such as a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship, cultural awareness, cultural contributions, and gender equality. The analysis results of the data obtained from observations and documents corroborated these findings. Furthermore, participants reported challenges such as students' developmental stage, limited resources, and weak family-community collaboration. It was observed that most materials were school- and student-produced, focusing mainly on basic cognitive skills. As a result, it is recommended to revise education policies, enhance hands-on activities, raise public awareness, and active family involvement.
