Abstract (EN)
In this thesis study, N-(4-(3-(2.5-dimethylphenyl)-3-methylcyclobutyl)thiazol-2-yl)formamide the single crystal structure consists of some compound groups such as thiazole, cyclobutane, and formamide were synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR techniques. The molecular structure of the single crystal structure consisting of compounds that have a common usage area was analyzed by the X-ray diffraction technique. The compound C17H20N2OS was found to be in the monoclinic crystal system and the P21/c space group. The unit cell parameters of the molecular structure were obtained at a= 6.5693(4) Å, b= 9.0779(7) Å, c= 25.7440(13) Å, α=γ= 90°, and β= 94.721(4)° from the X-ray diffraction results. When the bond parameters of the molecular structure were compared with similar studies, the bond parameters were found to be quite compatible. In the asymmetric unit, the molecular structure with the (x, y, z) symmetry code forms the chain forming structure by the dimeric form with the molecular structure with the (-x, -y, -z) symmetry code. There is an intermolecular hydrogen bond between the NH in the formamide group of the molecular structure and the N nitrogen atom in the thiazole ring. This N-H...N type strong hydrogen bond enables the molecular structure to form a dimeric structure, and with this bond, it creates stacking in space.
