Abstract (EN)
Through the increase in the world population and technological developments, energy resources are being depleted at a faster rate day by day. The search for energy efficient design has become inevitable for the building sector, which has a large share in energy use. In this study, it is aimed to contribute to the development of the concept of energy efficient building, starting from the main goal of developing a solution to the energy problem. In this respect, the concept of energy was discussed, energy efficient building design parameters were compiled, ten national and international housing projects were examined and an energy efficient housing model was created for the moderate dry climate region in the province of Niğde, which was determined as the study area in thesis study. According to the data obtained from the energy performance analyzes made in the BEP TR 2 software of the model house; •The number of days (158) that the building needs heating was found to be less than the number of days (201) that the meteorology determined for the region. •The energy class of the building is at B level. •As a result of the calculations, if the number of PV panels is increased, the energy class of the building has increased to the A0 level. Consequently, it has been revealed that energy efficient building projects can be created by abandoning the concept of uniform building and taking decisions according to regional conditions at the design stage.
