Abstract (EN)
Expectations Of Students And Parents Who Prefer Imam-Hatip High Schools And The Fulfilled Of Expectation Level (Istanbul/Pendik Example) Along with the Prophet, the masjid's ability to become a center of religious education, the expansion of the Islamic geography and the increase in the Muslim population passed to the madrasas. The madrasas, the centers where educational activities were carried out for centuries, resulted in the opening of new institutions in the western style in the early 19th century after they could not keep up with the rapidly changing developments in the west. With these new schools where science and techniques were taught, the madrasas that survived for nearly a century were closed down with the newly established republic. The madrasahs were replaced by Imam Hatipes in order to meet the religious education needs of the society. The schools, which have been placed in the center of vicious ideological and political debates since the day they was founded, have continued to exist by increasing their numbers even though they have experienced some negativities. It is necessary to strive to save these institutions, which are adopted by the society and seen as a need for religious education, from shallow discussions and become institutions that can meet the needs of the age that will develop in terms of education. In order to determine the expectations of the interlocutors for the Imam Hatip's and the level of meeting these expectations, the subject was dealt with descriptive scanning from the perspective of students and parents. Likert type questionnaire was applied to determine the general structure of the school, the management and teachers' approach to the students, the learning environment and the physical structure of the school in 48 items, and 23 items in order to determine the level of meeting these expectations. The opinions of students and parents were discussed in SPSS program with various variables and they were described in tables. Students who have high expectations for improvements in the general structure of schools, management and teachers' approaches, learning environments and the physical structure of the school have a moderate perception of satisfaction in terms of meeting these expectations. However, the level of meeting the expectations of the parents was high. Keywords: Education, Expectation, Imam Hatip High School, Parent, Satisfaction Level Student,
