Memory education and problems in İmam Hatip secondary schools (Diyarbakır Şehit Halit Gülser Kız İmam Hatip Secondary School example)

The purpose of this master's study is to investigate hafiz education and its problems along with formal education, which is a new practice. The research consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction section, the problem of the research, its hypotheses, limitations, method, data collection techniques, population and sample, the importance of the research and the studies on the subject are explained. In the first part, hafiz and hafiz education, the concept of hafiz, the importance given to hafiz and hafiz education, the historical course of hafiz education, the course of hafiz along with formal education and hafiz education in Martyr Halit Gülser Girls' Imam Hatip Secondary School are explained. The second part includes the findings, analysis and evaluations of the findings, and the conclusion. It was applied as a survey, which is one of the quantitative research methods, to 61 students, 46 parents and 13 teachers at Diyarbakır Şehit Halit Gülser Girls' Imam Hatip Secondary School. In order to obtain high efficiency from the survey study, preliminary interviews were held with the instructor, students and parents. The questions were prepared according to the interview results. The data obtained from the survey was tabulated and analyzed. As a result of the research, it was observed that the opinions about the project were generally positive, however, the project had some missing points that needed to be improved. Additionally, among the observations, it was concluded that the system and its functioning were not fully established since the project was in the development stage. It is aimed to contribute to the progress of the project by providing solution suggestions, if any, for the problems encountered in practice.
