Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, polymers containing Schiff bases and chalcones were synthesized in the side group. In the first step, the reaction of 4-aminoacetophenone-substituted benzaldehydes (4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 5-bromosalicylaldehyde) was carried out using 1- (4-{[(1 E)-(5bromo-2-hydroxyphenyl)methylene]amino}phenyl) ethanone (1a), 1-(4 - {[(1E)-(4hydroxyphenyl)methylene]amino}phenyl) ethanone (2a) Schiff bases were synthesized. The synthesized schiff bases (1a, 2a) were reacted with methacryloyl chloride to give imine monomers (1m, 2m). Imine monomers (1m, 2m) were polymerized at 70 °C in AIBN medium to give polyimines. In the second step of this study is first substituted benzaldehyde with 4'aminoacetophenone (4-fluorobenzaldehyde, 4-chlorobenzaldehyde, 4-bromobenzaldehyde, 4-chlorobenzaldehyde, 4-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde, 2,4,5trimethoxybenzaldehyde) by reacting 4'-amino-(substituted) chalcone compounds were synthesized. Then 4-amino-(substituted) chalcone compounds (3a, 4a, 5a, 6a, 7a, 8a) were reacted with methacryloyl chloride and chalon monomers (3m, 4m, 5m, 6m, 7m, 8m) were obtained. Chalcone monomers were polymerized at 70 °C in the AIBN medium and polychalcone (3P, 4P, 5P, 6P, 7P, 8P) were obtained. Structures of monomers with some compounds of chalcone and Schiff bases were characterized by techniques of FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 13C-APT. The structures of polyimines and polychalcones were illuminated using FT-IR, 1H-NMR. The thermal behaviors of the polymers were measured by DSC and TGA and the results were compared with each other. Optical properties of polymers were investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The contribution of the synthesized polymers to some dielectric behavior of the polar functional groups carried by the polymer was investigated by impedance analyzer depending on the frequency. The activation energies for thermal degradation of the polymers according to the Flyn-Wall-Ozawa method were calculated by using the distortion curves at different heating rates. The surface morphology of polymers was determined by SEM images. The biological activities of the polymers were investigated by disk diffusion method.
