Abstract (EN)
Professional groups have their unique culture just like nations and organisations. Despite the use of various different practices, researchers discuss the affect of `engineering culture? on the formation of engineering practices and values. Fundamentals of engineering science are ?consciously or unconsciously- given together with values and beliefs, during engineering education. Engineering identity is then shaped by professional culture in working life. The aim of this research is thus to compare the professional cultures of civil engineering/architectural graduate/post graduate students with civil engineers and architects. In order to achieve this aim, a questionnaire survey based on Hofstede?s studies has been undertaken. Keywords: Culture, Cultural Diversity, Turkish Construction Sector Culture, Occupational Culture.
