Abstract (EN)
Due to the time-spanning nature of construction contracts, it is frequently encountered that some works that were not decided at the beginning of the contract are added to the contractual work while the performance process continues. It is of great importance to define this type of work, which is called additional work, and to determine its elements clearly. Because it is known that additional works affect different elements agreed in the contract, especially the delivery date. For this reason, in our thesis, it has been tried to research and examine the additional works that occur within the scope of construction contracts. Our thesis consists of four main parts. In the first part, general information about the construction contract was given, in the second part, the definition of additional works, its elements, application areas and its difference from similar concepts were tried to be explained, in the third part the relationship between the additional works and the debts of the parties in the construction contract was tried to be revealed. explained, our study was concluded.
