Özet (EN)

In the planning of production activities in forestry and in the design of forest roads, decision support systems based on spatial data are widely used in some countries. In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have been used in the production of high resolution and accuracy digital elevation model (DEM) of forest areas. With the UAV, the workload is reduced, time is saved and more sensitive data is obtained. The workload is much in the preparation of forest road progress payment schedules. In addition, the fee to be paid to the contractor company after the road construction is completed is paid according to the final cost in the progress payment schedule. In this thesis study; the usability of UAV technology in the determination of forest road cut and filling volumes was investigated. In addition, determination of cutslope land classification was also investigated. Thus, the preparation of progress payment statements was examined. Within the scope of the study, the 640-meter section of the 001-coded secondary forest road of Taşlıyayla Forest Management Chief, which is located within the borders of Seben Forestry Directorate, was selected. Before and after the construction of the road, which is the subject of the study, flights with UAV (drone) were carried out autonomously. In addition, in order to determine the amount of progress payment cut, measurements were made on the geometric features of the road in the field after the road construction. As a result of the study, 2189 m³ cut volume, 4183 m³ filling volume, 1468 m² cut area, 2980 m² filling area were found with UAV data. In the calculation made according to the principles of the communiqué numbered 292 used in the calculation of the progress payment cut amount, the cut amount was found to be 2080 m³. There is a +5% difference between the UAV data and the currently used method. In addition, soil and loose soil land classification in the area were determined from orthophoto images and verified from field observations. The results obtained reveal the usability of UAVs in the determination of forest road progress payment
