Abstract (EN)
The temporal variability of Gamma Ray Bursts (GRBs) light curves is potentially a key parameter in enhancing our understanding of the production mechanisms that are likely responsible for the release of radiation as the stellar material collapses on to itself and forms the central object from which the powerful jet emerges. Another interpretation posits that the internal shocks that develop as the rapid jet traverses and interacts with slower moving shells cause local emission fronts from which the observed radiation emanates. In either case a measure of the temporal variability or the spikiness of the light curve provides a quantitative means of probing the regional size of the emission location involved. In this thesis work, we studied the time variations in the light curves from a sample of long and short Swift/BAT GRBs with known redshift were analyzed using wavelet method. Results are in good agreement with those found in a previous study involving a sample of Fermi/GBM GRBs
