In this study Hadiths about 'silk and gold' narrated by Ebû Mûsâ el-Eş'arî, Abu Hurayre, Alî b. Ebî Tâlib, Muâviye, Berâ b. Âzıb, Abdullâh b. Omar, Imran b. Husayn and Huzeyfe b. Yeman has been evaluated in terms of sened chain and text. Our study consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction, while giving information about the subject, limits, importance, purpose and method of the study, the use of silk, gold, and gold-silver vessels in the pre-İslâmic period of ignorance and in the Qur'an and Hadiths, how this issue was handled were examined. In the first chapter the sources of hadiths were determined and these hadiths were subjected to the criticism of the chain. As a result of the source scans, sixty different narrations of the hadiths with the content of our subject have been determined. As a result of the criticism of this narrations by Sened criticism nine of these narratives were found to be weak, and the remaining fifty-one was found to be sound. Thus, it is concluded that these hadiths that we criticize are sound in terms of isnad. In the second chapter, the hadiths were evaluated from the point of text criticism criteria, the commentaries of the commentators about these hadiths and their use in İslâmic sciences are given a place. As a result of all these examinations, that it is not a opponent of the Qur'an from the text criticism of these hadiths, since it is in harmony with the hadiths like itself, it is concluded that these hadiths have no problems in terms of health.
