A study on the poetry of the Iraqi Türkmen poet Adnan Kasapoğlu (Structure, theme and the effect of modern Turkish poetry)

In this study, while examining the poems of the Iraqi contemporary Turkmen poet Adnan Kasapoğlu in terms of theme and structure, we also tried to reveal the effects of Turkish poetry on the poet's poetry. Since most Iraqi Turkmen poets do not have the opportunity to receive education in their mother tongue, they try to make up for this lack of education by following the authors in Turkey and writing their own poetry. One of the poet's most important skills is language skills, Kasapoğlu also learned Turkish from books and dictionaries, and tried to write his poems using proper Turkish. In this context, in the first part of the study, the poet's life, literary personality and general literature were emphasized. In the second part, we examined the theme and structure in Kasapoğlu's poems, and in the third part, we discussed the influence of Turkish poets in Kasapoğlu's poetry. In addition, the interview we made with the poet within the scope of the study allowed the analysis to be done more healthily.
