Abstract (EN)

This study aims to understand the relationship between business ethics and religiosity through tradesmen. It is thought that religiosity is an important variable in reflecting the moral principles needed in working life to behaviors. In this respect, it was tried to understand the behavior of tradesmen on business ethics on the basis of their perception of religion. In the research conducted using qualitative research method, data were collected through interview technique with 24 tradesmen who continue to work in Ankara Yenimahalle district. Study groups were identified using criterion, maximum variation and snowball sampling types. The artisans in the study group are diversified in terms of different professions. Interviews were conducted within the framework of three themes: work ethics, work ethics and religious life, and perception of religion. In this context, first of all, it was tried to reveal the working values of the participants within the framework of business ethics. hen, findings on religious perceptions were obtained. Finally, the relationship between work ethics and religious life was tried to be understood. The data obtained through interviews with the participants were analyzed using thematic analysis and content analysis techniques. As a result of the examinations, it is seen that today's tradesmen have formed a new moral system that they adopt in their working lives. This formation has a relationship with the tradesmen's perception of religion, but it can also be explained by the economic assumptions of the period.
