Determining factors affecting workforce efficiency: An example of a public hospital

Productivity is thougth to be an important concept in every aspect of daily life. One of the most important inputs affecting productivity and one of the most effective ways to achieve this efficiency is for businesses to instill productivity awareness in their employees. In this regard, ensuring workforce efficiency is important for businesses to achieve their targeted success and sustain their existence in today's competitive conditions. In other words, it can be said that ensuring workforce effiencieny is one of the tools of sustainable success. The aim of this research is to determine the factors affecting workforce productivity. In the study, factors affecting workforce productivity were categorized as personal factors, economic factors, physical factors, managerial factors, psycho-social factors and other factors. The survey form prepared for this purpose was applied to employees working in a public hospital operating in Erzincan. The database of this research consists of data obtained from 301 participants who agreed to participate in the research. In line with the results obtained, simple regression analysis was conducted to measure the effects of personal factors, economic factors, physical factors, managerial factors, psycho-social factors and other factors on workforce productivity. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that personal factors, economic factors, physical factors, managerial factors, psycho-social factors and other factors had a significant and positive effect on workforce productivity. It is expected that this study will contribute to plans to increase the productivity of personnel working in healthcare institutions. Key Words: Workforce, Productivity, Workforce Productivity
